Trekking For Kelty
The Kelty Patrick Dennehy Foundation was established in 2001 to prevent depression related suicide in young people and to honor their son Kelty who took his life at age 17, after suffering the ravages of depression.
The Foundation has raised almost 3 million dollars, since its inception and is one of the biggest contributors to depression prevention in Western Canada. Depression is the #2 killer of teens in B.C. and our Foundation needs your support to effectively fund programs to enhance education, care and research.

A 10 day walking tour of the spectacular Mt. Everest region of Nepal. The Khumbu is the home of the Sherpa, Mt. Everest and four of ten of the highest mountains in the world. The tour will emphasize the unique culture of the Sherpa people who have inhabited this region of Nepal for 500 years. We fly to the airstrip at Lukla, 9,300', a 50 minute flight via Twin Otter aircraft In two days we reach Namche Bazar, 11,300', the central village of region. Namche is an active trading centre and features a weekly market each Saturday. There, you will see Tibetans and Sherpas trading wares and services at this bazaar in the sky. Guided tours of the 3 ancient gompas (monasteries) of the Khumbu, each built nearly 500 years ago, will be the central feature of this tour.
